Participation is voluntary and you are responsible for your own wellbeing throughout the session. You may pause or stop at any time. This practice is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant or who have serious cardiovascular, neurological, or psychiatric conditions. If you are unsure, please consult a medical professional before attending. Upon registration, you will receive a waiver to complete prior to the session. **About the Facilitator** Konstantin’s path into breathwork began through his own process of reconnecting with emotional presence and the body. A retreat in Mexico first introduced him to the power of conscious breathing as a tool for inner exploration and regulation. Since then, he has integrated breathwork into his personal practice and facilitation work. He has been holding sharing circles and retreats for the past few years, creating spaces for emotional expression, presence, and connection. He is a certified Conscious Connected Breathwork facilitator.

Glow Night at DIYBIO.to
Thu, Oct 8, 11:00 PM**Glow Night at DIYBio.to: Fluorescent Drinks Under Black Light!** This Thursday Oct. 8,\*, DIYBio.to invites you to [Hacklab.to](https://hacklab.to/visit-us/) to help engineer the most luminous libations for an upcoming Halloween party. Think of it as a tasting lab rather than a bar night: we're here to experiment, measure, and refine, not to imbibe in earnest. **On the menu:** * **Tonic water and tonic ice cubes**, whose quinine glows electric blue under UV * **Chlorophyll-infused vodka**, a leafy green drink that fluoresces blood-red * **Riboflavin and turmeric concoctions**, glowing chartreuse and gold * Mocktail versions for everyone. The spirited versions are 19+. Then we'll put the drinks to the test. Samples go into our real-time PCR machine, repurposed as a plate reader, to measure exactly how brightly each one glows across different wavelengths. Why does tonic dazzle under a black light but barely register on some detectors? What happens when you add a pinch of salt? Come find out! **Also happening:** * Updates on our community biology projects, plus a sneak peek at courses we're preparing for the coming months * Ongoing wet-lab projects continue, and anyone keen to lend a hand is welcome to join in * Plenty of time to chat biotech, swap ideas, and meet fellow enthusiasts **About us:** DIYBio.to bridges the gap between biology and the community, helping people reconnect with the wonders of the living world. We're an open, neutral, not-for-profit group of biologists and enthusiasts, from the merely curious to PhD-level scientists. We also teach community biology programs in libraries and other not-for-profits across the city. Learn more at diybio.to and on our experiment.com program. **Community standards:** We're committed to a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment at Hacklab.to and DIYBio.to. Our policies, including our Anti-Harassment Policy, apply to all participants and are posted on our websites. Mob Programming
Sat, Oct 10, 8:00 PMLet’s do some coding together at a cafe! No more working alone in the weekend. Here, we write code together. And I mean together together. Not occupying-the-same-space-but-separate together. Here’s how it works: Jennifer brings her mobile app project, tells everyone that it is like Pinterest for recipes and she’d like to work on the nav bar. Paul and Chloe think Jennifer's project is fascinating, and they join the group. They gather around Jennifer’s laptop and work on the nav bar for 2 hours. Jennifer is the one typing out the code while Paul and Chloe research, brainstorm, and offer suggestions. If you’re feeling stuck on your own project or need a motivation boost, bring it to mob programming! Want to learn by watching how others code and solve problems? Join someone else’s project at this event! Oh and we love your half-done projects that you are a bit embarrassed to share. Absolutely bring those to the event! **Discord**: We use Discord to share screen & code snippets during the event. Also feel free to share your projects here before the event! https://discord.gg/xwjDdVSw3E **Event policy**: * We have 0 tolerance for harassment. * We don’t allow the projects that are not meant to be shared in public such as school assignments, interview tasks, or trade secrets. * The goal is to write code. We discourage you from pitching business ideas here, doing code reviews, or spending the whole event on planning what to do.
