The Weight Loss Collective

The Weight Loss Collective

Sat, Oct 10, 8:00 AM
From London WEIGHT LOSS COLLECTIVE Meetup Group

**Weight Loss Collective – Weekly Group** **Our weekly Weight Loss Collective group is about so much more than getting weighed.** **Each week, we come together in a friendly, supportive environment to help you stay motivated, build healthier habits and understand what really influences your weight and wellbeing.** **You’ll receive practical support around nutrition, mindset, behaviour change, cravings, food noise, movement, confidence and real-life challenges. We also look beyond the number on the scales, celebrating progress such as inches lost, improved fitness, increased strength, better energy, clothes fitting differently and feeling more in control around food.** **There’s no judgement, no expectation of perfection and no “good” or “bad” foods. You’ll be supported to find an approach that works for your lifestyle and helps you create changes you can maintain.** **Come along each week for support, encouragement, learning, accountability and a community of people working towards their own goals.** **Your journey. Your choices. Your progress.**

Connection & Direction: Connect, Reflect and Find Your Next Step

Connection & Direction: Connect, Reflect and Find Your Next Step

Tue, Oct 6, 6:00 PM
From Connection & Direction: Peer Support Group London

Sometimes it helps to pause, talk things through and hear a different perspective. Join Krystian and Bogdan for a free, one-hour online conversation with a small group of adults in London. This session may suit you if you’ve been feeling stuck, disconnected, low in confidence or unsure what comes next. There’s no need to arrive with a clear goal or a story ready to tell. Come as you are, with a willingness to listen and make space for others. During the hour, we’ll: * Begin with a welcome and simple agreements for respectful conversation. * Explore a reflection prompt and share as much or as little as feels comfortable. * Listen to different perspectives and connect through everyday experiences. * Consider one small, manageable next step to take away. Your next step could involve reconnecting with someone, trying something you’ve been putting off or making room for something that matters to you.

DIY IN A DAY – BASIC ELECTRICS

DIY IN A DAY – BASIC ELECTRICS

Sun, Oct 11, 9:00 AM
From The Goodlife Centre - Practical Workshops in Central London
4.8

**Bookable via our website ➡️** [https://www.thegoodlifecentre.co.uk/events/diy-in-a-day-basic-electrics-38/](https://www.thegoodlifecentre.co.uk/events/diy-in-a-day-basic-electrics-38/) ⋆⋆⋆ A one-day introductory workshop to help learn the first principles of DIY electrics in the home. This short home electrics workshop covers the most common requests that homeowners, landlords and tenants want to know more about in their homes. Explained in simple terminology, and with practice on fiddly -but unplugged in – electrical fittings, learners can leave feeling less wary about this familiar but invisible energy and confident about safely tackling the essential electrics at home, without requiring any ‘Part P’ certification. First principles are explained in a clear and simple way, without complicated formulas or equations. Learn how to assemble a simple lighting circuit with an inline switch, using inexpensive hand tools. This forms the basis of understanding how the wiring behind your switch plates and ceiling roses fit together. See how to test and avoid faulty wiring when performing simple repairs at home. Look under the ‘bonnet’ of your consumer unit (Fuse box) and understand what it’s connected to and how to turn the supply off and on. Understand the basic wiring system in your home. Practice changing switches to dimmers, look behind socket plates and understand how to change ceiling pendants. Stay safe in your home by finding out what you can and can’t do yourself without any certification. If coming to our workshop in Central London is not possible, then why not try our on-demand basic electrical course online?
