Sydney Circles and Connections Pilates Social

Tue, Oct 6, 10:00 AM
From The Pilates Circle Social Club Collective

I am excited to invite you to our next Sydney Circles and Connections Pilates Social. This gathering is a casual way for us to step away from our mats and get to know the people behind the Pilates Circle Social Club Collective. Whether you have been attending our sessions for a while or are just curious about what we do, this is a relaxed space to meet fellow movement lovers and enjoy some good conversation in the city. We will keep things simple with a focus on genuine connection rather than structured activity. Expect a low-pressure environment where you can chat about your practice, share local recommendations, or simply enjoy a coffee and a catch-up with like-minded people. It is a great opportunity to feel more connected to our local community and meet some new faces in a comfortable setting. If you are free, we would love for you to join us. Please RSVP when you have a moment so we can get an idea of numbers and make sure we have enough space for everyone to settle in comfortably.

Hi there! Welcome to the Southside Music Collective - hosted at Cricle Music, Botany. This is a jam that is open to beginner and intermediate players and we welcome all instruments, musical genre's and skill levels. All you need is a keenness to learn and an open mind for all things musical. Our goal is to help get you out of the bedroom and onto the stage. We can help you achieve this goal by working as a team. You will be being guided by professional musicians with years of live music experience, touring and teaching. This is also this is a great environment to meet fellow musicians and talk all things music. Moving on from what the more casual format of Sydney Jammers, we want to focus a smaller song list but with an end goal of having a tighter sounding unit. From there we would be booking a showcase style gigs at least twice a year. Here is a link to our current playlist of songs: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4V8j6vHUQugXlvZvnoFxCV?si=0105ebfb356f4889 This will be a smaller style jam where spots and numbers will be limited. So pre-booking and pre payment is essential. The song lists will also be curated with charts provided. This will be done in advance of each jam so that you have time to learn the songs. With regards to equipment, we provide a drum kit, P.A system, mics and a bass amp. We do have a few small guitar amps available, however we recommend you bring your own practice amp. We look forward to having you in our studio. Please note, number a limited to 12. We have limited numbers with the goal of offering quality over quaintly. If you are interested in booking, please click 'attending' on the event. If you would to know more, please email us at: andres.circlemusic@gmail.com or call/ text 0432 998 592 Regards Andres.

**Please read & understand everything and ask if you have any questions.** Ideally, we will have 2 sessions: **Session 1: Intermediate level (Intermediate & Advanced players)** $12 each for \~1.5 hours **Session 2: Advanced level (only Advanced players)** $12 each for \~1.5 hours **Session 1 & 2: Advanced players only** $24 each for \~3 hours However ultimately, the number of people who RSVP, and their playing level, will determine how this event is organised. **Important details:** 1\. When you RSVP\, you will be placed onto the Waitlist\. You must answer ALL questions (playing level, preferred session, preferred payment method, etc.). 2\. Payments: Electronic payment will be accepted until Saturday morning\. If you payment has not come through by then\, then you must pay via cash in person\. This event is open to **intermediate** and **advanced players**. **If you are a beginner, you will not be allowed to play** even if you pay and you turn up, if it becomes clear you are a beginner, you will be asked to stop and will forfeit your money. The reason for this is because we have a limited booking and we want all other paying players to have a game that flows well enough to be fun. If you are unsure about your level, read below or ask the organiser. **Classification of experience level:** **1\. Beginner \(Level 10\, 15\):** You are neither *Intermediate* or *Advanced* according to the following definitions: **2\. Intermediate \(Level 20\, 25\):** You know the basic rules of the game and are reasonably **consistent** with all of the following: serving, receiving, passing, setting and attacking. *By "consistent" we mean that you are >60% successful with all your ball touches (e.g. 3 out of every 5 serves/receives/passes/sets/attacks either win a point or allow the game to continue and that maximum 2 out of 5 of your ball touches result in in you/your team losing the point).* **3\. Advanced \(Level 30\, 35\):** You know the rules of the game with regards to playing positions, setting, net fouls, foot fouls, etc., and you can serve, receive, set and attack **at 80% success rate** (e.g. 4 out of every 5 serves/receives/passes/sets/attacks either win a point or allow the game to continue and that maximum 1 out of 5 of your ball touches result in in you/your team losing the point. **Warm-up > Practice > Play** We will start with some warm up exercises and practice some game skills before getting into the games. We will probably spend the first 10-30min on warm-up & practice before getting into the games. 5\. On the day\, turn up to the sports centre early \(10min before your session\) so that we can carry out necessary admin and start promptly\. **SHOWING UP ON TIME:** Please arrive on time (this means 5-10min before the start time) so that we can start ASAP without wasting time). **GETTING THERE:** * Green Square train station is \~900m away. * Maddox Street bus stop is \~100m away. * Street parking out the front usually available (some park in the carpark across the road). **SAFETY:** You are responsible for your own safety.
