From Descubridores de Barcelona y Catalunya

Bajamos a pie hacia Les Roquetes\.

Design Talk: Taste Beyond the Rules

Design Talk: Taste Beyond the Rules

Wed, Oct 21, 5:00 PM
From Bloomfield
4.8

Join us at our next Bloomfield Design Talk in Barcelona: Taste Beyond the Rules: How experience, emotion, and context shape taste and why human judgment remains essential as AI learns to design. Before you think, you've already decided. You see a face, a painting, a poster, and something in you says yes or no. That reaction is taste. It arrives before the rules, before the explanation. But what happens when we try to teach machines to do the same? For our next Bloomfield Design Talk, Maria T. Bastos, Founding Member of Taste Labs, and Ana Abreu, Member of Design Staff, will explore how experience, emotion and context shape taste, and why human judgment remains essential as AI learns to design. We’ll talk about: → How we develop taste through years of exposure
→ What parts of design are objective, and what parts come down to taste
→ Why context is still a missing layer in AI-generated design → What machines can and cannot learn from human judgment
→ Why experience, sensitivity and emotion still matter in the design process 📍 BAU, Barcelona
🗓 21 October
⏰ 19:00, doors open at 18:30 🎟️ €10+VAT (non-refundable) Come join us for an evening of design, AI and a closer look at what makes something feel right. After the talk, you can network and meet other creative friends and collaborators. Anyone taking part in the event agrees that the organizer accepts no liability. By participating in the event, you also agree to videos and pictures being taken for later publication online. See you soon, designer friends!

Barcelona SaaS Founders Meetup

Barcelona SaaS Founders Meetup

Tue, Oct 27, 5:30 PM
From Barcelona SaaS Founders Circle
4.8

**Building a SaaS business in Barcelona? Come and meet other founders who are focused on scaling a SaaS in 2026.** This is the third gathering of Barcelona SaaS Founders Circle: an exclusive evening for SaaS founders and cofounders to get to know each other, compare notes and build useful relationships. No panels, or pitch competitions...We'll have a light structure to get the conversations started, followed by time to connect properly. **Who it is for** Founders and cofounders building or running a SaaS product—from actively building and finding first customers to growing an established business. Our core focus is B2B SaaS, but other SaaS founders are welcome when the conversations are relevant. This is not a general business-services networking event. **What to expect** **18:30-18:45:** Arrive, settle in and meet a few people. **18:45-19:05:** A short welcome and introductions in pairs or small groups. **19:05-20:10:** Open conversation with light prompts / suggested topics. **20:10-20:15:** Wrap up and what's next. You can talk about finding customers, product decisions, pricing, hiring, founder-led sales - or simply what building your business is like right now. **The details** Date: **October 27** Time: **18:30–20:15, Barcelona local time** Venue: La Textil Collective ([Carrer de Casp, 33B, Eixample, 08010 Barcelona](https://www.google.com/maps/place//data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x12a4a3791b6168ed:0xccdc2cc0ad2626ca?sa=X&ved=1t:8290&ictx=111)) Language: **English** Price: **Free to attend; please support La Textil by purchasing a drink or water.** Places: **20 founder attendees** **Coming on your own?** Perfectly fine. I will be there to welcome you and introduce you to people. You do not need to arrive knowing anyone. **A few shared expectations** Be generous with your experience, make room for others, and ask before giving advice. Introduce your product without turning the evening into a sales pitch. **Your host** I’m Michael Cummins, and I've worked in the world of SaaS for the last 15 years, at multiple Unicorns - from pre-seed through acquisitions and IPO's. I’m creating this group to build a useful local founder community that's focused on growth. Please RSVP only when you expect to attend. Plans change — just update your RSVP promptly so someone else can use the place. **See you there.**
