Smashing! Try something new Thursday Interactive reality workshops- Tonight get involved and have some fun. Tonight we study and learn unique stage styles and techniques of world-class leaders. Be inspired by the styles & secrets of Barack Obama, J.F Kennedy and Martin Luther King etc Learn how to present as the Leader, rather than a manager Serious about improving your leadership - **Why mess, come to the best** Why is Smashing different to other speaking clubs? Just two member's thoughts, "The fun/laughs factor is definitely a point of difference. We keep it moving with high standards so it’s a nice balance. Too strict makes it tense and boring, too loose and we can lose the energy/commercial feel. SmashSpeak's vibe's in the sweet spot." "At other clubs I used to listen to long speeches and lectures, here we get so many chances to talk every meeting, that we have to improve" **Free parking** close: O'Connell and Cobden streets **IMPORTANT: Be on time, as doors close when the show starts** “Proudly Australian" – Free-flowing teamwork, greater good focus, sharing the stage, etc Multicultural Hub, 506 Elizabeth St (Opposite Queen Vic Market) Level 1, RED Room (End of corridor) More to come..

Lead With Impact Through Powerful Facilitation

Lead With Impact Through Powerful Facilitation

Thu, Oct 22, 7:00 AM
From Product Anonymous Meetup - Melbourne
4.7

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you'll learn how to design and run workshops that actually move teams forward. Going beyond the standard retro and sticky notes, & drawing on real examples from hundreds of workshops plus grounded in coaching and facilitation practice, we'll cover everything from setting the right goals, to a practical toolkit to design your next workshop with intent, to tips for the messy real-world stuff like handling conflict, getting people to engage, and keeping energy up when things go sideways. You'll leave with practical techniques you can use straight away, tools to help teams go from discussion to real decisions, and more confidence being the person running the room. **Our speaker** [Aseel Hamarneh](https://www.linkedin.com/in/aseelhamarneh/) is a Product lead with over 15 years’ experience in tech, working multiple organisations and countries. Over that time, she has seen a consistent pattern: teams collaborate constantly and run regular workshops and retros, yet often leave potential on the table because facilitation is treated as a format rather than a leadership skill. She has designed and led organisation-wide workshops, large-scale training programs, and numerous strategy and ideation sessions. Her focus is not on running meetings, but on using facilitation to drive alignment, generate stronger ideas, and support meaningful decisions during change and complexity. Drawing on formal facilitation training and executive coaching accreditation, Aseel approaches facilitation as a capability that shapes how teams think and collaborate. Across diverse organisational contexts, she has seen the same principle hold: strong facilitation unlocks the full potential of collective thinking. **Our hosts**: [NV AI Learning Centre](https://www.naturalvelocity.ai/) Directions Natural Velocity Head Office is located on Level One, 9 Star Cres Docklands (inside The District Docklands) next to Melbourne College of Hair and Beauty. 👇This workshop requires **a fee and a deposit.** Please read all below before you hit the button👇 Hello art lovers, we changed the place to CBD, so we are now more than welcome having more people easier! For this meet-up, we’ll use water-based acrylic paints to create a small artwork that you can take home and display👩‍🎨 Each session includes a live demonstration from me, so beginners are absolutely welcome! The group is intentionally small, which means there is plenty of time for questions and individual guidance👍 Recent themes we've done include: 🌊A lakeside scene inspired by Ballarat 🌷A picture of flowers, "I want to display" 🌇A view of Geelong's sunset 🐶A fluffy moment Let me know what you would like to try :-) ***Place*** Flagstaff (👉The Blender Studios, meet 10 mins before the session starts in front of the cafe☕️ ) ***Fee*** **$60 AUD** All materials included! You only need to bring: • a drink • meals or snacks (if you need) • a bag to carry your artwork home The finished painting is approximately A5 size. ***Before attending the sessions*** If you’d like to join, please send me a message to secure your seat with: **1\. Your name** **2\. A short introduction \(your art experience or what interests you about joining\)** **3\. A theme that you want to try \(if you have one\)** ***Deposit*** To secure your seat, **a $20 deposit** is required via bank transfer(PayID) before the sessions. Details will be provided via message. The last $40 fee can be paid directly on the day via bank transfer/cash, so that we don't have to pay extra fees for PayPal on this platform, hehe😂) If you can not come after paying your deposit, please let me know as early as possible. I’ll pay it back via bank transfer. ***The process when you attend*** -Press the attend button and message me a little bit about yourself 👇 -Details about the deposit and others will be provided via message(Please check your “messages” tab!) 👇 -Pay the deposit via PayID (no transfer fee) 👇 -Your seat will be secured! Please check the message from me after you hit the button and if you find you can't attend a session anymore, please re-press it and show me that you are not coming, since the seats are very limited:-) I’m hoping to create a friendly space where people can enjoy making art without pressure, meet others, and leave with a painting they’re proud of😊 If you’re coming alone, don’t worry — most of the people join solo, and the group is kept small and friendly. If you would like to bring guests, please message me directly to reserve your seats. Thanks for reading, and feel free to message me with any questions😊
