Let's get together with a drink and discuss this book :) * Address to be announced. * Limited spaces to ensure a nice discussion. Please only join if you can attend. * **Confirmation and Location via our Whatsapp group :)** About the book: When Chris Kraus, an unsuccessful artist pushing 40, spends an evening with a rogue academic named Dick, she falls madly and inexplicably in love, enlisting her husband in her haunted pursuit. Dick proposes a kind of game between them, but when he fails to answer their letters Chris continues alone, transforming an adolescent infatuation into a new form of philosophy. Blurring the lines of fiction, essay and memoir, Chris Kraus's novel was a literary sensation when it was first published in 1997. Widely considered to be the most important feminist novel of the past two decades, I Love Dick is still essential reading; as relevant, fierce and funny as ever. * [https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/243991.I_Love_Dick?ac=1&from_search=true&qid=C72YV9cUWC&rank=1](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/243991.I_Love_Dick?ac=1&from_search=true&qid=C72YV9cUWC&rank=1)

Let's get together with a coffee or drink and discuss this book :) * Address to be announced. * Limited spaces to ensure a nice discussion. Please only join if you can attend. * **Confirmation and Location via our Whatsapp group :)** About the book: *Naked Lunch* is one of the most important novels of the twentieth century, a book that redefined not just literature but American culture. An unnerving tale of a narcotics addict unmoored in New York, Tangier, and ultimately a nightmarish wasteland known as Interzone, its formal innovation, taboo subject matter, and tour de force execution have exerted a significant influence on authors like Thomas Pynchon, J. G. Ballard, and William Gibson; on the relationship of art and obscenity; and on the shape of music, film, and media generally. Naked Lunch: The Restored Text includes many editorial corrections to errors present in previous editions, and incorporates Burroughs’s notes on the text, several essays he wrote over the years about the book, and an appendix of 20 percent new material and alternate drafts from the original manuscript, which predates the first published version. For the Burroughs enthusiast and the neophyte, this volume is a valuable and fresh experience of this classic of our culture. Chers tous !

Mythologies/Roland BARTHES - Fictions/Jorge Luis BORGES

Mythologies/Roland BARTHES - Fictions/Jorge Luis BORGES

Sun, Oct 18, 2:30 PM
From Club de lecture - Les Mots Passants
4.9
